Temperatures in Jordan to soar well above seasonal averages

Jordan is expected to be affected by a relatively hot air mass starting Thursday, accompanied by a high-pressure system in the upper atmosphere, according to forecasts from ArabiaWeather.

The heat wave will result in a noticeable rise in temperatures and summer-like conditions across most regions.

On Thursday, temperatures are forecast to rise 6 to 8°C above seasonal averages, with relatively hot conditions expected in much of the country. In the capital, Amman, daytime highs are projected to range between 30°C and 33°C.

Significantly hotter conditions are expected in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, where temperatures may reach around 40°C.

Heat to Intensify Friday and Saturday

The impact of the hot air mass will intensify through Friday and Saturday. Temperatures are expected to climb further, reaching 9 to 11°C above the seasonal norm.

In Amman, highs could range from 33°C to 36°C on Friday, while low-lying areas such as the Jordan Valley and Aqaba may see temperatures exceeding 40°C.

At night, the weather will remain mild in most areas but warm to relatively hot in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with nighttime lows higher than recent days.
