Government adjusts fuel prices in Jordan for December

The Petroleum Derivatives Pricing Committee held its monthly meeting on Saturday to determine the local selling prices of petroleum products for the period from December 1 to 31.

The committee reviewed global prices of crude oil and derivatives during November, comparing them to October’s figures.

The review showed a slight decrease in global prices for both grades of gasoline (90 and 95 octane) and a slight increase in diesel prices.

After applying the pricing formula based on global rates, the committee decided to:

  • Reduce the price of 90-octane gasoline by 5 fils per liter, setting it at 860 fils/liter (down from 865 fils/liter).
  • Reduce the price of 95-octane gasoline by 5 fils per liter, setting it at 1105 fils/liter (down from 1110 fils/liter).
  • Increase the price of diesel by 5 fils per liter, setting it at 680 fils/liter (up from 675 fils/liter).
Keep the price of kerosene fixed at 620 fils/liter.
  • Maintain the price of a 12.5 kg household gas cylinder at 7 Jordanian dinars per cylinder.

The committee also noted that the average price of Brent crude oil in November was approximately USD 74.5 per barrel, slightly down from October’s average of USD 75.8 per barrel.
