Iran and Cuba condemn U.S. attack on Venezuela

Iran and Cuba have condemned the U.S. attack on Venezuela, denouncing it as a violation of sovereignty and calling for an international response.
Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel described the action as a “criminal attack by the U.S. on Venezuela” and urged the global community to react. A close ally of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, Díaz-Canel said the operation amounted to “state terrorism against the brave Venezuelan people and against Our America.”
In a post on X, he wrote that “our #ZonaDePaz is being brutally assaulted,” referring to a 2014 declaration signed in Havana that designated Latin America and the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace.
Iran also criticized the U.S. strikes on Caracas, with the Foreign Ministry calling them “a gross violation of the country’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity.” The comments came shortly after President Donald Trump pledged to intervene in protests that have shaken Iran’s leadership in recent days.
Iran has warned it would respond swiftly to any aggression against its interests. Officials have repeatedly said the country could target U.S. military bases in the Middle East if attacked.
