سجلت عوائد ارتفاعا إلى مستويات قياسية خلال 2021 عند 6.3 مليار دولار، مقابل 5.6 مليار دولار في 2020، وذلك بحسب بيان لهيئة قناة السويس.
هذا وسجلت القناة أيضا أكبر حمولات صافية سنوية في تاريخها عند 1.27 مليار طن خلال العام.
وأوضح رئيس هيئة قناة السويس، أسامة ربيع، في البيان أن القناة شهدت عبور 20694 سفينة في الاتجاهين خلال 2021، مقابل 18830 سفينة في العام 2020.
